My guess is that either the reporter or Swanton or both failed to catch the nuance that was more likely referring to the dif between full auto and semi-auto. Because most certainly both the double-action revolver and the semi-auto essentially "automatically reload between shots" with "every pull of the trigger," until empty, that is.
But like I say, a doorknob has more brainpower than an alligator, so I get that it went over your head.
I sincerely doubt that any of the bikers were carrying single-action revolvers.
“Dear, the reporter writes that Swanton referred to semi-automatic weapons, which fire a single shot with every pull of the trigger and automatically reload between shots. A double-action wheel gun does essentially the same thing.”
Dear, a DA wheel gun does NOT automatically reload between shots.
“I sincerely doubt that any of the bikers were carrying single-action revolvers.”
The photo I posted was not a single-action. It was an auto-loading revolver.
“A double-action wheel gun does essentially the same thing. It “reloads” through a different mechanism, that’s all “
