My hope is that there is a coordination strategy for Perry to ultimately support Cruz.

Perry's strategy is to draw votes away from Cruz, though they really do represent two entirely different factions. Cruz represents conservatives, Perry the pro-ILLEGAL alien liberal wing of the Republican Party. Perry may be effective to some degree as some Texas voters, many who frequent these pages, will vote for him over Cruz and that can open help Bush.

I liked Perry too, but it’s a stronger field now. It’s exciting because our bench is so deep and talented, unlike 2012. Take a look at the dems bench, Warren is staying out of this, Bernie Sanders is psychotic, O’Malley is a good looking guy, but that’s about it and Hillary is a never was. I like our chances for 2016 as long as we don’t run Bush or Christie.

In 2012, I preferred Perry to Mitt or Sanctimonius. I thought his "don't have a heart" was the real killer of his candidacy (yes, even worse than the "3rd" thing he couldn't remember).

In 2016, like you I wish he wasn't running, because while he beats the heck out of much of field, Cruz (and Walker) beat the heck out of Perry.

In some ways you are correct. However, the constitution gives the requirements for running for President and definitely doesn’t limit how many can run. We are actually better off then the Democrats who have 4. Two of them are old. One is a nobody Governor and one is just a nobody Republican turned Democrat. We have a wide variety of candidates who even our worse is better then their four.

“More vote-spitting, because in the end, the right can be just as stupid as the RINOs.”

And the conservative/republican ‘purists’ will refuse to vote for ANY candidate because of a single issue or difference, claiming no one deserves their vote. . thereby allowing the demon-left to advance their agenda as usual.

The left have a divide in their party equal to the right, but the left close ranks and vote for their candidate, slowly advancing their agenda. . they may not get the candidate they want, but they will get a candidate that will incrementally push their agenda forward a little bit at a time. . .

So you are saying the ‘big money’ buys your primary vote?

Speak for yourself, please. Cruz is an excellent man and candidate and will make a remarkable president.

Oh I think I speak for the supermajority of the United States. You are in a very small minority.

Using your criteria means vets will vote for Kerry over Cruz because Kerry was a vet. (You did know Kerry was in Vietnam, right?)

Hahaha yea right. Perry doesn't like Cruz. They endorsed opposite people in this last election (Cruz picks owned Perry picks), and I don;t know if you watched his speech, I caught some of it from TV during lunch. Perry specifically attacked Cruz, saying we need to elect a governor who's done things, not a Senator who's only accomplishment is a speech behind a podium. I know Cruz has done way more, but it was definitely Perry trying to hit on Cruz.

Once Perry's out, I'm sure he'll try to push his supporters to Jebby or Christie. Anyone but Cruz.

Why on Earth would they stand by a guy who did not serve a day in his life in the military. Cruz was not interested in serving in the military. Rick Perry made a choice to serve the country so of course the military is going to support him. That is an easy explanation.

93% of the population hasn't served in the military. That's a small percentage of people who would even have that background. Also, most of the guys in my unit don't like Perry much. He's better than most of the squishies, but pales compared to Cruz.

Big money will be buying lots of votes this time ... lots.

All of these pol’s are vying for their own sugar daddies. It’s all about the last man standing ... screw what’s best for America.

If you think the pol’s have big egos ... think of all these super rich guys buying/supporting ‘their’ candidate. This buying of candidates is all about egos.

I got myself a POTUS!!!

So no ... maybe your vote isn’t for sale ... neither is mine. But the pol’s are being bought.

You can bet on it. Perry didn't want Cruz in Washington and he sure as heck doesn't want him in the White House.

I wonder if it’s not the GOPe’s way of diluting the field to get their Rino candidates into position.

How does that work? Wouldn't the favorite "Conservative" get the majority of the primary votes?

I could never understand how the GOP can control primary outcomes.........And control who is going to run in the primary........

Oh no. Is Kerry running again? Obviously voters voted for President Bush who did sacrifice for his country. Your example does not make sense when one of them is not running for office.
