*LOL* Jim, you may have just put him over the edge...*LOL*
Hey, Vermont,
I lurked here for about three years before I signed up in 2011. I always got a kick out of reading old threads-—still do. And even back then, it was pretty much a given fact that you have to have a thick skin to hang out here.
I’m pretty sure the Religion threads have been full of lively debate (LOL), but from what I have heard, the old Crevo (Creation/Evolution) debates had them beat. So, yeah, it can be a tough crowd, but it’s hardly a new thing, and it isn’t evidence of deterioration.
A person can only bully you if you allow it. Don’t. Earlier today I was posting to someone who tried to break bad on me-—got really nasty. I just served it right back.
And please don’t withhold your donations because of a few people.
I am on here every day but I have never seen anyone say they would prefer Hillary. I have seen remarks from posters who have said they will not vote for the lesser of 2 evils and that includes me. Just look where that got us. I do not know what I will do yet. There are too many rinos running. They are just as bad as the dems. Frankly, I do not trust anyone, yet.
(2) "will not vote for the lesser of 2 evils and that includes me. Just look where that got us."
Yah, it got us Obama for a second term. If you can't see that, there is no hope.
Do you honestly believe that the powers that be would have allowed a Republican to win? I don’t. The way republicans are acting, it would not have made any difference. The past few years have proven that. Someone posted this on my FB page:
“Society has become so fake that
The truth actually bothers people.”
Most people had rather believe lies than the truth. Some hear lies so often, they actually think it is the truth. If we do not vote for real conservatives, we are the losers. Most people just go along with the flow instead of researching the candidates to find the truth about them. I have done that for years. It is very sad that candidates will say the right things until they are elected, then they seem to change over night.

“and all started by you, in response to your first outrageous comment!”
Post the outrageous comment then. Did I deserve such a vile,
nasty, rude and disrespectful reply?
“I happen to know and respect yehuda, whom you neglected to ping.”
Why would I ping yehuda? All I would get is more name calling
and verbal abuse from someone, whom I previously proved to
be totally incapable of rational debate.
Besides this does kinda emphasize the original point,
Perhaps the religious battles and bullying around here are driving people away.
“That is the job of a moderator. But the moderators either do not care, or they are taking the sides of their power hungry internet buddies.”
The moderators are there. I’ve been put on review a couple
of times.
I think that some times people take what they
read out of context because of the lack of facial
expression. In Codefliers case, in post 18, he/she used “:)” as
an alternative and McGruff (post 23) didn’t pick up on it.
Or so it seems.
All you can do with bullies is invite them to debate the
issue. You’d be surprised, sometimes they turn out to be
down to earth and descent but were ticked because they just
didn’t understand the context of your opinion.
A bully may get me kicked off some day but I will not let
them run me off.

It use to be the American way.
