I am in total agreement with what you say. There are so many unanswered questions about this whole mysterious phenomenonknown as transgenderism. Did you notice how Jenner was totally over the top enraptured by his "true" self. He is not going to be blissfully happy as his new self for too long. The man is delusional. I often wonder what kind of counseling they get before starting the procedure. A couple of times I have read that there is supposedly some form of counseling that is done before they begin the procedure. But who does the counseling? How is the counselor chosen and who actually chooses the counselor? There must be some kind of pipeline that leads the transgender seeker from their doctor to some friendly counselor. Or do they look up glbt websites and are then walked through the network. There is definitely something fishy about the whole process. The media never questions WHY someone is like this, it is as if there is no WHY. Transgenderism is treated like an effect without a cause, everything has to have a cause but they just make is seem like it just came out of a clear blue sky. I think that since trangenderism is now connected with the highly politicized whole glbt groups, we will never be able to ask questions as to the possible causes of transgenders. You probably heard that California passed a law outlawing any kind of treatment that seeks to treat homosexuality as a psychiatric problem. If you are a health care professional who goes against the gay agenda you can probably lose your license in California. I don't know if they have taken it to the level of actually jailing you. Gays have become nazis with the muscle of the Democrat party behind them. Freerepublic had an article from a Catholic magazine which contained the personal story of a transgendered man who wrote a book about his experience and how after going through the transgender process realized that he had made a mistake. He eventually overcame his sexual identity confusion and wrote a book about his experience. The source of his problem began when between the age of two and four and a half he would go to his grandmother's house where she would dress him up as a girl. She would fawn all over him when she dressed him up as a girl. This implanted a feminine identity in him which lasted till his adult years. I heard of this disorder a few years ago. I think that the "gender identity" disorder is closely related.

I do not think that "social scientists" are going to be able to tease out the root causes of these disorders. They are only going to be understood through the efforts of research psychologists, psychiatrists, and neurologists, to name a few scientific disciplines with the expertise to study mental disorders.

At the moment, our media is no better than the circuses of the 1800s who paraded "freaks" in front of the public for profit. The media have no conscience.
