I’m a little confused here. How does a cruise ship sink while navigating the “storm-immune” Yangzee river with huge hull and a choppy depth of 30 feet?
(Don’t answer, it’s a rhetorical question).

Pretty big diversity in size and seaworthiness of those Chinese cruise ship. Other than that, I would not want to be in a tight section of that river when a wall of water comes plunging past in a heavy rain storm. Could sweep you away. I don’t know if the ship sinking was from poor visibility or fast water but I can see it happening.
What a beautiful cruise though. That scenery is just flat gorgeous.
What a wonderful world God gave us. If only I had time and money to see it all — especially money.

I see the Chinese are continuing the Soviet standards for health and safety.

The relatives are dressed so western, it looks like the photo could have been taken here.
