Yep. At the end of the day, three friends got to finish moving in to their new place and the three bad guys, not so much.

Good point. He should have used a Desert Eagle or S&W500. They're a little weak on concealability, but top notch in stopping power.
The real problem though is paramedic response times. There should be a "Code thug" dispatch that means "grab coffee and donuts on your way to this call" or, more diplomatically "thugs down and bleeding, approach slowly and with caution as if there might be more armed thugs on site".
