Thank you OK Sun.
Thank you for the 4 days in a row of sunshine we are enjoying now.
Not only were the Troopers doing what their commission requires, but I would not be surprised if they had flood forecasts, weather reports, and background info not known to the Fischers. I can understand the emotion with losing a vehicle in a flas flood - I’ve been there - but I would personally have never confronted a uniformed law enforcement officer. It could have gone a different way if there had been a less lively approach and conversation to get information. SPECULATION: I wonder if there was alcohol/drugs involved by the decedent. Well know if that is what turned the gentle giant (according to the Washington Post) into something else. Well know in due time.

In Oklahoma, the primary purpose of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is (surprise) patrolling roads and highways. Barricading flooded roads is one thing they do. Also, probably, these people's offence, Oklahoma Statute 47:11§11-103: No person shall willfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of any police officer invested by law with authority to direct, control or regulate traffic. Tough break that these two brothers didn't get the double-secret memo where the penalty for violation of this statute went from a misdemeanor & a $50 ticket to a capital offense, with no trial, and immediate execution of sentence...
