Yikes!
Now we're into June, which means we're into the 3rd month of our 2nd Quarter's FReepathon!
Sincere, heartfelt thanks to every FReeper-Patriot-Donor! You're all the very best and you all make Free Republic possible.
Free Republic is our home and its maintainence payment is past due.
This is Day 62 of our FReepathon and we're still shy of reaching 90% and YELLOW.
Were half of y'all, our wonderful, loyal members to reliably donate $5, $10, $20 or $30 Monthly, this FReepathon and all FReepathons would be events of the past.
Thus far, we have 43 New Monthly Donors, including 6 New $1-A-Day+ Donors. Very generous FReeper-Sponsors have and are kicking-in $10.00 for every NMD, so please consider signing-up if you possibly, reliably and sustainably can.
Or send in a hundred dollars or more per quarter and join I_be_tc's growing list of 300 Club patriots. Add your name to our 300 Club Roster!
I_be_tc sends in $100 per quarter and challenges 300 others to do the same. And we have received 195 donations of $100 or more so far this quarter. If we could get 300 FReepers to send in $100 per quarter, these FReepathons would complete much faster.
To make your donation, please click the secure server link above or donate by mail to: Free Republic - PO Box 9771 - Fresno, CA 93794
Please, please, please don't let the same loyal FReepers carry the load! Step up and make your first time donation!
Can we do this? Yes we can, but it takes everyone to keep Free Republic up and running strong.
Thank you so much everyone May God bless and keep you all and everyone you hold precious.
On behalf of Handsome Jim and his Awesome, Dedicated (and very tired) FReepathon Team, I am yours truly,
onyx
I have to take lunch to my grandson at his jobsite. Back ASAP.

Bumping your new FReepathon thread, dear onyx!
Blessings to you and to the entire team...and, to Jim Robinson for having us!
C’mon folks, if you’re blessed to be here, today...lurking, posting and gathering - such valuable and important knowledge, why not chip in a few $$ to put this quarter’s FReepathon to bed? Do it....now!
"Free Republic is here to continue fighting for independence and freedom and against the unconstitutional encroachment of ever expanding socialist government...
We believe in the founding principles with all our hearts and mean to defend them to our dying breath..."

"I dont know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, We must broaden the base of our partywhen what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?"Ronald Reagan

How thoughtful! :)
"In recent months leaders in our government have told us that, we, the people, have lost confidence in ourselves; that we must regain the spirit and our will to achieve our national goals. Well, it is true there is a lack of confidence, an unease with things the way they are. But the confidence we have lost is confidence in our governments policies. Our unease can almost be called bewilderment at how our defense strength has deteriorated. The great productivity of our industry is now surpassed by virtually all the major nations who compete with us for world markets. And, our currency is no longer the stable measure of value it once was.
But there remains the greatness of our people, our capacity for dreaming up fantastic deeds and bringing them off to the surprise of an unbelieving world. When Washingtons men were freezing at Valley Forge, Tom Paine told his fellow Americans: 'We have it in our power to begin the world over again.'
We still have that power.''Ronald Reagan

..."That, of course, is the lesson of this century, a lesson learned in the Sudetenland, in Poland, in Hungary, in Czechoslovakia, in Cambodia. If we really care about peace, we must stay strong. If we really care about peace, we must, through our strength, demonstrate our unwillingness to accept an ending of the peace. We must be strong enough to create peace where it does not exist and strong enough to protect it where it does. That's the lesson of this century and, I think, of this day. And that's all I wanted to say. The rest of my contribution is to leave this great place to its peace, a peace it has earned.
Thank all of you, and God bless you, and have a day full of memories.Ronald Reagan
