Title reduced.

The source is from the lawyer but if true then Waco is in a heap of trouble. Of course, since ATF was involved the usurper will have his revenge on Texas.

I take it all the deaths were caused by the police after all?

Woah!

Talking some serious money if most sued and won. Don't sign it!

The “Waco Stench” continues to grow.

I’ll wager that this lawyer will not be silent about his trying to meet with the D.A. this morning.

Wow, it’s starting to look like the reason the only ones killed were bikers was because the only ones shooting were cops.

This latest information was reported to an attorney representing at least one of the detainees. “It appears the public defenders office in McLennan County is involved in this scurrilous activity,” said Paul Looney, a Houston attorney with Looney & Conrad, P.C. “I’ve never seen anything like the lawlessness that the authorities have perpetrated on these people and now to add insult to injury they are trying to cover their own tracks in exchange for bond. I will be in the reception area of the McLennan County D.A.’s office tomorrow morning at 8:30 with the intention of not leaving until we have the issue of bond resolved.”

Telling. Very, very telling. Some will take it. Those that don't are going to have lawyers beating a path to their door (cell) to represent them.

If this is anything like what it is starting to smell like... Well, it isn't looking too good for the LEOs involved in it. They had better be thinking about coming forward and cutting a deal in exchange for testimony, or if they fired rounds - finding a *very* good defense attorney. At the very least, anyone involved in that had better be considering a career change.

Hard to believe that a judge has the temerity to make such a weasely demand.

ummm... huh??

“we’ll let you go if you don’t sue us for arresting you in the first place”

the judge is admitting the arrests were invalid. wouldn’t continuing to hold them compound the error?

either way, they should reject his offer and sue the crap out of them after this admission

Sounds like the judge just handed ‘em all box full o’ cash with a great big fancy ribbon on top.
“I’ll let you go if you don’t sue over wrongful arrest” sure as he11 sounds like a flat-out admission that it WAS wrongful arrest, and he’s abusing “color of law” to con arrestees into not exercising their rights (to their considerable profit).

Holy Cow! This judge has telegraphed that these massive, illegal dragnet arrests (along with the resulting destruction of careers of folks who had done absolutely NOTHING wrong) were completely unlawful. And these illegal arrests and unconstitutional bails went along with the attempts to cover up the unprovoked HOMICIDES committed by local Waco law enforcement under direction of Obama’s federal agencies (e.g., DOJ, ATF, FBI).

Elements of government have become an ongoing criminal enterprise. They must not be allowed to get away with it.

The Gub'ments case against these EVIL BIKERS seems to shrink daily...

Me wonders if the LEOs got bored and got all RAMBOED-UP and thought they had an easy target to make some political points with and they didn't realize most of those bikers were just ordinary guys and not drug kingpins...?

Almost all of the dead or killed by head and neck single shots.

That sounds very much like a military style weapons with optics and well trained shooters.

Eight of the nine killed were from the very gang rumored to have been unwilling to pay some kind of drug trafficking territory fee.

Is Waco PD a de facto extension of a drug trafficking organization..?

That is bulls*t. I have been suspecting for quite awhile that the affair left the authorities in a very bad position, and now they are trying to extort absolvence of guilt?

This makes the case appear even stronger that this incident was an abuse of authority.

Bad bad move on the part of this judge. Any lawyer worth his salt will shove any agreement like this straight up his ass in a civil suit.

I am appalled that someone’s FREEDOM is being linked to signing a waiver promising NOT to sue for WRONG DOINGS! Want to get out of jail? Then sign a waiver. Disgusting. I hope every civil litigation lawyer out there is trying to reach out to the families.
