Tax breaks are government subsidies?

They are when it's a tax break you get, but other companies don't.

It's also forced redistribution when places like California require zero-emissions credits, so Tesla makes a ton of free money by selling their credits to other car manufacturers. nothing produced, they just get free money from Ford or GM or Toyota.

Sounds like a government problem and not a company problem.

They have a fiduciary responsibily to take advantage of every opportunity.

Fix the government instead of whining about certain companies seems to be the real fix.
