It wouldn't be the first time a member of Congress was duped by false photographic "evidence" from the Ukrainian government either.
Earlier this year Senator James Inhofe recently accused the Ukrainians of providing him with manufactured evidence of Russian tanks in Ukraine...which he unfortunately used during a Senate speech in favor a bill to provide lethal aide to the fascists.
Subsequently Inhofe's spokesman provided examples of two other instances where the Ukrainian government provided false information to his office.
I'd give Congressman Thornsberry the benefit of the doubt in this instance, but he should realize the true nature of the regime he's dealing with in Kiev. Lying comes as naturally to them as breathing.
There is ample evidence that both Russian tanks and Russian army is fighting in Ukraine. Just read the Atlantic Council report.
The fact that the first minute evidence might contain shoddy intelligence should not be surprise to everyone, but all this has been rectified with time.
Here is a thread that links to the 38 page report.
