A San Antonio man has lost his job because hes unable to post bail after he was arrested in the aftermath of the biker melee in Waco.
Diego N. Obledo, 40, doesnt have a motorcycle but was arrested after driving friends in his Toyota Venza to the Twin Peaks restaurant where the brawl broke out, according to San Antonio lawyer A.L. Hernden, who is helping the family.
Hernden said Diego Obledo was just standing around but was caught up in the sweep as 170 people were arrested by Waco law officers. More than 30 are from this area.
Obledo has since been fired from his job at USAA, where he was an appraisal review specialist and three months away from being vested, Hernden said. Obledo is not in any gang, but accompanied friends in a motorcycle club for a meeting meant to discuss motorcycle laws and safety, according to Hernden.
Its terrible, Hernden said. He doesnt even have a criminal record and is a family man. Hes got three kids and is the sole breadwinner.
Agreed and the people who want to fix the system only after they get what they think is owed to them.
“How many, if any, shots were fired at the police? Did the police shoot before they were fired at?”
I’m not sure why those questions are of importance. Its not like the police can only shoot in self defense. They can shoot to stop someone from harming another person (just like anyone can where I live). In this case the other person they were protecting was most likely a biker.
Unless of course the evidence shows that the cops saw the glint of steel off of a Bandito’s nail clipper and then just opened up on them all from their ambush positions.
Posting style reflects personality and affects how we are perceived. You have made quite the impression on this thread.
Your pose sounds eerily similar to that.
How much does the SPLC pay you to create confusion?
Clever or not, I reiterate that I called out another of his or her own words. Telling that I struck a nerve.
I also reiterate my statement,
symptomatic of what's wrong with a large percentage of Conservatives: Lack of conviction.
And I did not resort to name-calling, the epitome of personal attack and beloved tactic of the left...
Should I make a foolish and hypocritical comment, tired drunk or otherwise, I fully expect to be called on it and would never resort to the personal insults hurled at me in this thread.
If my 'style' you admire (or mock) is my defense, then thank you very much.
Adieu.
I remember Rush Limbaugh getting calls where the caller would always begin with, “I am a lifelong republican and I voted for Bush, but ......”

Well, “sport”, I’m not a lifelong Republican. I was a Republican until they became as screwed up as the Democrats.
I know the biker culture. Most of you lily white, suburbian, friends “of a guy who has a Harley” seem to be ignorant of the drug, gun and prostitution business of these gangs.
None of you had this attitude toward the Furgeson or Baltimore criminals (although a different set of crimes, the same mindset). These thugs operate outside the law, in direct view of those who choose to look.
To you who choose to be blind, they seem to be heroes.
If your point is that motorcycle clubs violate the law, well that is why we have Courts and penal institutions for after they are convicted. and, incidentally, you never answered the question. All you did was spew the company that motorcycle clubs are involved in criminal activity. Deflect, and muddy the water.
You’re right, sport.
Nothing.
We do have courts, etc, etc as you stated.
Now all those involved have been arrested and are awaiting trials. Work for you? You happy?
“The cops should have mowed them all down.”
You’re an effing savage.

“Due process and equal protection under the law - What a concept. “
Seems something as good as that concept should be safely imbedded in the Constitution...
