There is more to this story than what is printed here...........
The military is increasingly worried about Christians in their midst.
Christians, stay out of the military until it has an exorcism to remove the demons.
“court-martial?”
this is a crime?
How about the bastard who quoted the towelhead indoctrination book and them killed his fellow soldiers?
Something wrong here. The administration is using the military to further the policy of eliminating Christianity.
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Yup. It appears that there was long-running bad blood between the Marine and her supervisor, and that the Marine repeatedly refused to abide by her supervisor’s orders. The bible verses were just one example.
Military personnel leave democracy at the door for their own lifestyle when the volunteer for service. They are not allowed to proselytize while in uniform.
The experience of being told I’m going to hell if I don’t convert to a particular Protestant religion or at least put the beer down, by a fellow someone in uniform was far more oppressive and obnoxious than I’d have thought. And absolutely against ucmj.
The priest had it right on base at mass the day Reagan died. ‘Reagan was a laser catholic. Divorced and remarried outside the church. But he always worked to defend the freedom for us to practice religion and for that, as commander in chief, he is to be honored and well remembered ‘
If this story is true, as written, then her room is ready and waiting for her.
But what about the people and the nation who did this to her?
They have chosen...poorly.
Their rooms currently look like they'll be vacant.
Although I think there is probably more to this story, based on what I have read, her supervisor gave an unlawful order. And in the military, we are trained to NOT OBEY unlawful orders!
Plainly stated, There is NO reason THAT bible verse could be considered a problem, especially not in the military!! I could understand if it were a verse about the abomination of homosexuality (since everyone gets to play soldier now), but Isiah speaking of weapons not harming you (while in the military) cannot be construed as “controversial!”
This is at least the third time this article has been posted. And if the Marine refused to obey a lawful order, then I have no sympathy.
What if you got a Marine in combat who suddenly decides that he or she cannot kill the enemy?
This is Satan’s time.
She was convicted of court martial for disobeying a lawful order. The facts are that she has a personal item posted on a government computer and she was ordered to remove it. She refused. The religious content is totally irrelevant.
Is anyone saying that some Marine has any right whatsoever to place personal information on a government computer? And if so, does it require permission by the owner of the computer?
As for the Marine, I would be very surprised to discover that she wasn’t offer Article 15 punishment or offered a discharge in lieu of court martial. I think she was and she was refused in order to have a cause. She’s going to have to live with the consequences of her personal decisions.
It’s probably racist.
Was the Bible verse on an email signature? If that, I can understand. People are welcome to use those on their personal email, but when you apply that to a company (or government) email address, that is now representative of the organization to which I would then side with the supervisor.
If the verse was simply as desktop background or somewhere on the computer that wasn’t effecting others then she should have been able to do what she wants. As others have said, probably more to the story.
Remember what happened to Larkin.
