A federal appeals court refused Tuesday to lift a temporary hold on President Obama's executive action that could shield from deportation as many as 5 million immigrants illegally living in the U.S.
The U.S. Justice Department had asked the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse a Texas judge who agreed to temporarily block the president's plan in February, after 26 states filed a lawsuit alleging Obama's action was unconstitutional. But two out of three judges on a court panel voted to deny the government's request.
It wasn't immediately clear if the government would appeal, either to the full appeals court in New Orleans or to the U.S. Supreme Court

Listening now. Thanks for the ping!
Excellent summary by Levin. I especially loved the part about, should the 0bie admin decide to file an emergency appeal to SCOTUS...
...the luck of their *draw* will be none other than....Justice Antone Scalia!
BOOM!
Ping...link to an excellent explanation, given by Mark Levin, at post #40.
“There was no real challenge to this amnesty, which has been used as the template for the current one.”
A new admnistration does not have to renew the deferral and work permit.
Amnesty is forever. Do you really think that any administration would take away work permits and SSNs from those who have already received them?
Mark Levin BTTT!
Charles Krauthammer says this Ruling is a PROBLEM for Republicans. Can you guess “why” before reading the, very short, article below?

Are the adults, in that 580,000 number, eligible to vote?
Not legally. The Dreamers can apply for this amnesty up to the age of 30. The approval rate so far is 99.4%.
Don’t know. But it surely doesn’t lead to redidency or citizenship.
Eventually it will morph into a path to citizenship. Any legislation that allows the lawbreakers to stay and work here, the object of their crime, is amnesty. Citizenship is just the cherry on top.
There are reports and suggestions that Judge Hanen may order the DHS to be put under his control for compliance and investigation.
Yes, for those reading, a federal judge has the authority, similar to a receivership, to take over any government agency that is run in a clear lawless manner.
Taking over DHS would be in lieu of monetary sanctions which would only be paid for by taxpayers.
The DOJ lawyers that lied to the judge are toast. Their careers are over and they may very well be disbarred.
The ignorati that keep posting about Obama will do whatever he wants are ill-informed. They do not understand the powers available to a federal judge to uphold the rule of law. But we can be assured those DOJ lawyers that got caught in the crossfire understand what this judge can do.
Would be GREAT if those reports are true. THAT would be a glorious thing. Will standby to see. Thanks for this update :)
