That’s one of the sites I’m always checking.

I can’t believe the release rate is 0. Can that be right?

I know the ground below the dam is saturated, maybe that’s why they’re holding...at least for a while.

Yes that’s right.

They’re trying to let some of the overflow drain through the river, downstream, before the next deluge.

(Note: The Flow at the Sattler Gage should match the Outlet Works Release Rate when the gages are working properly. If there is a difference between the two readings, then either one of the gages is not working properly or recent rainfall runoff has increased the river flow at the Sattler Gage. The Sattler Gage is located immediately below the Release Gate at Canyon Lake Dam.)
