Agreed, and combined with a bad economy (despite the rosy proclamations to the contrary from Obama and his minions in the MSM, most people either cannot or do not want to spend $15 for an 1.5 hours of Hollywood garbage. I suspect many are like me, and are willing to wait 6 months until the movie is available on cable.

I live in the country on a farm and have to drive to the city every two weeks or so for lab work at the VA hospital. While in town, I run errands and usually take in a movie. Senior tickets are $8 and there are no lines for midweek matinees. I enjoy movies for entertainment and the popcorn. Back home by dinnertime.
Not such a bad deal.

Nice. But out here on the left coast, you’d be hard-pressed to get a deal like that. Last time I took my elderly mother to the movies, senior ticket prices were $12.
