Pew Research Center: Hillary Clinton's 'Favorability' Plummets 17 Points, Lowest In 7 Years

As Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton fights through several mini-scandals, her approval rating has been skidding, sending her "favorability" rating to a seven-year low.

In a new report, Pew Research Center said that her rating crossed the 50 percent mark this month and now sits at 49 percent. It was lower, at 48 percent, way back in May 2008 when she was being pushed out of the presidential race by then Sen. Barack Obama.

It has been a steady fall from the 66 percent favorable rating she had as secretary of state in November 2009.

Pew's report provided a graph of her favorability ratings dating back to when she was the first lady of Arkansas and before her husband Bill Clinton was elected president.

Of her recent numbers, Pew said: "Hillary Clinton's favorability rating has fallen since last August, when 58 percent had a favorable impression of her and 41 percent held an unfavorable view. Today, views of Clinton are divided: 49 percent have a favorable opinion of the former secretary of state; 47 percent have an unfavorable opinion.

Welcome. Let’s hope Cruz-friendliness continues to grow both here and among the voters.

As for Hillary, this terrible poll must be causing serious anxiety in the Hillary camp. According to Dick Morris — once the Clintons’ chief political advisor — Bill Clinton could hardly take a breath as president without consulting a poll.

But how can Hillary possibly do more than she’s already been doing to raise her favorability rating? Her face must be in pain from smiling so effusively to Iowa voters to try to improve her likeability. But as this poll shows, it’s all been in vain.

We’ll probably be seeing Hillary’s Plan B for winning hearts and minds any day now, so we should prepare ourselves to cringe.

Martin ‘O Malley or Fauxahontas?

Fauxahontas.

The dimocrats may dump Hillary, but they're sticking with the Lifetime Movie plotline.

It has to be a woman.

Cool!
Still, this all takes more brains than I’m inclined to think she’s got.

I’m still very new at this.
Thanks for the compliment on my choice of nom de plume (or nom de net).
Just my attempt at whimsy.
