The
Phoebe Snow was the Lackawanna Railroad's flagship train between Hoboken (NJ) and Buffalo (NY).
The Lackawanna operated a ferry from Hoboken to downtown Manhattan to serve that train among others, and PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) ran trains between Hoboken and downtown, now the WTC stop.

"It's time to go with Phoebe Snow
And view the scenes she loves to show
Each mile is quite a new delight
Upon the road of anthracite."
Wags of that earlier era changed the last two lines to:
"If you spend the night she'll treat you right
Upon the road of anthracite."

The Schubert piano pieces in the D. 899, D. 935 and D. 946 collections are available from a number of pianists on CD from Amazon. Alfred Brendel, Rada Lupu and Mitsuko Uchida are among the great Schubert pianists represented on CD today.
