Now the fight over TPA and Sovereignty and Secrecy shifts to the House.

Conservatives with phones and letters have far more influence over the House than the Senate.

Get after 'em.

We only have to turn about 40 Republicans to a NO position to stop this.

The Senators already capitulated. Cruz has been a real disappointment of late. Trouble on his horizon.

If conservatives in congress think that because the Democrats oppose something then it must be good and thus the conservatives must support then those conservatives are just as seriously FOOLS as the Democrats and gopes are serioiusly frauds and Statists.

Hope the Chamber of Commerce will enjoy life under President Elizabeth Warren, cause a lot of us are staying home next November.

Øbama’s team are the worst negotiators in history. I wouldn’t give them authority to order lunch let alone a trade agreement.

I would not vote for any bill which is shrouded in secrecy. “You have to pass it to see what is in it”. That is what got us obamacare.

What else did anyone expect from Republicans on any trade deal put before him? Most will support anything called a trade deal. It was Republicans and Slick Willie who put through NAFTA over the opposition of most Democrats in Congress and 60% of the public. Same deal here.

This is all just a bunch of concocted false drama that has nothing to do with reality. These bought and paid for Republicans will carry out the desires of those who bought and paid for them.

Do they realize that this apparently cuts China out of the picture? With a slowing consumer based economy in China, TPTB will likely turn to militarization to unify and strengthen their economy. (Guns and butter theory.)

In addition, wasn’t NAFTA such a great idea? All these agreements do nothing to lift our industries, economy and employment. They act as levelers with us as the losers. We cannot compete with third world wages, lax third world environmental laws and our own laws that increasingly lock up natural resources.

I don't have a problem with making the Senate vote “up” or “down” on trade agreements. It still requires an appropriate number of votes to pass.

This does stop people from modifying with riders the terms.

After this is passed, Senators will simply need to vote down the agreement and reauthor it if they want a new vote. What is not to love about this? It doesn't stop review and if people don't like future bills, they can't negotiate to add something in the dark of night that is then voted on (for which no one else may have fully identified the new insertion).

This is a “win-win.”.

Folks, are you just having a problem with a reduction of wasted time? I can't understand how this is bad.

When it comes to certain issues, the uniparty brooks no dissent. Whoring out America to so called “free trade” is just one of those issues.

Lots of dramatic theatre for public consumption, but the die has already been cast.

I like your spunk, but I'm guessing the writer at Roll Call is deeply disappointed in your "attitude".

I hope the conservatives do move to stop it.

No NWO, thanks.
