I disagree that Joshua Duggar is getting the consequences he's earned.
He should not be allowed around children ever again, let alone live in the same house with them.
You are particularly on point about how this is brutal for the victims of Joshua Duggar that we know about.
I hope those victims can take some solace that this revelation may prevent others from suffering at the hands of Joshua Duggar - that it may help their nieces and their own children.
Hope that the siblings will not leave their children alone or around Josh. I’m assuming the show is a goner now. Perhaps since they won’t be getting a paycheck from the show, and Jim Bob’s career as a “minister” will head South, the changes that need to happen, will happen since the pressure to be there together for the show hopefully will be over.
Mom’s/Dad’s reactions happen in too many families in which the molester is a family member. The victim is further victimized and shamed. Disgusting. The “secret” is kept to keep the perpetrator safe.
