Police in Waco, Texas, have sharply revised downward the number of weapons seized after a deadly brawl in a shopping center parking lot that left nine people dead, 18 wounded and 177 facing criminal charges of engaging in an organized criminal activity..
Police said earlier this week they expected to recover 1,000 weapons but now put the number at about 320.
Snip-- The weapons recovered include 118 handguns, 157 knives and 43 others, which includes brass knuckles and chains. Some weapons had been quickly stashed -- under seat cushions and even in a toilet. Police also said an AK-47 assault rifle was recovered.
Swanton blamed the complexity of the crime scene for some of the confusion about the number of weapons.
On Sunday, members of five motorcycle gangs met at the Twin Peaks restaurant in a shopping center in Waco for what participants have said was a previously scheduled meeting to discuss common issues, such as pending motorcycle safety legislation.

Nobody can dictate diddly squat to a Biker....
They have to agree to it...by vote....
It’s one of the pure forms of Democracy.....big “D”, jus like a political organization or any organization..
You really need to consider what you say before your fingers tap the keyboard..
“Of +/-32 Officer positions in The Texas CONFEDERATION (not Coalition) of Clubs and Independents, four are held by Bandidos. That hardly qualifies as the Bandidos running the Texas COC.”
The CoC chairman is a Bandido. If it were a legitimate outfit, it would kick the OMC’s out.
We disparage the peaceful muslims for not condemning the terrorists.
We disparage the blacks for not condemning the rioters.
We disparage the legitimate MC’s for not condemning the OMC’s. Oh, wait. They have rights too. And we must respect their bond of brotherhood.
That's the funniest thing I have read since I accidently landed at the DU site.
I have only heard about them on CNN and FoxNews from reporters and these people that track the OMGs, the “experts” if you will. I didn’t know that this was ever in any doubt. So, do you truly believe that there was some large conspiracy by the WACO police department to shoot up a bunch of outlaw biker gang members? I can understand why witnesses would talk to reporters and others but not go on camera or give their name, can’t you?
What's funny is that I was on this thread (A Few Thoughts on the Waco Biker Shootout) earlier being sarcastic. Post 27.
You’ve made so many posts on this thread that I’m thinking that you must ride a Vespa...
/s
Bandanas
Wallets with chains
Riding jackets
You are, of course, aware that there is an excellent reason for any/all motorcyclists to attire themselves in the above items, aren’t you?
I’ll bet most of them had on heavy, black leather boots, too, didn’t they?
As far as the decorations go: I fail to see how a picture of a mythical beast or even a patch with a club name on it qualify as “trappings of a criminal”.
Grizzled beards and long hair? Holy crap! Hide the women and children!
The bottom line is, not one single thing you listed in any way qualifies as “the trappings of criminals”.
PS - Are you sure they’re not members of the Juarez Motocross Club?
“Nobody can dictate diddly squat to a Biker....
LOL! Bikers are totally dictated to. The only ride where they are told and wear what they are allowed to wear.
I hear there might have been some (shudder) sporks as well.
We disparage the blacks for not condemning the rioters.
Speak for yourself.
Har, har, har.....:-)
Good grief!
You are definitely off the deep end of the gene pool...
Trappings of criminals? You mean like leathers and such? Do you know what the state of Texas recommends what you wear while riding?
TexasGator, sir:
You have made it clear that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when it comes to bikes, bikers, etc.
In fact, you might be the single most ignorant person regarding this particular subject who is posting to this, or any other, thread.
I am sure there are many subjects on which you are conversant and knowledgeable - but this isn’t one of them.
Have a nice day.
“They have to agree to it...by vote.... Its one of the pure forms of Democracy.....big D, jus like a political organization or any organization..”
Not all clubs get votes. Any ‘no’ vote by an OMG means you are not approved.
“You have made it clear that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when it comes to bikes, bikers, etc. In fact, you might be the single most ignorant person regarding this particular subject who is posting to this, or any other, thread.”
Thank you, Mr. Alinsky.
Nice! I like it.
If it’s okay with you, I’d like to adopt it as my working theory on this matter, as well.
GFY
” The name of their club stretched across the top, a patch (which thanks to recent events I now know is a rocker) “
What do you do when you see a bowling shirt?
Run for cover???
I think I understand it now...It appears some of you folks watched SOA, “sons of anarchy, and have attributed what you saw to every biker club on the planet.
Please correct me if I am wrong......lol
” Or, they could do quick background checks on each one and release him if he has a clean record and/or no outstanding warrants.
It certainly would not take 4 days to do that 170 times.”
NAIDED it!
The cops could have checked every one of these people out in a few hours. This is the computer age. THIS smells!
But who cares if a dozen or so Christian bikers, or American Veterans with clean records get screwed? Just the cost of doing business (for the cops)
