This country is screwed. We now honor and revere criminals with great pride.

Alas, it seems it was ever so. Al Capone in his time was celebrated and the movie success of Bonnie and Clyde and Butch and Sundance reveal how much we love the myth of the criminal.

But the real tragedy is in mythologizing a criminal not just to appease the mob but for political purposes such was the case with, "John Brown's body lies a moldering in the grave…" I would compare this eulogy to Michael Brown with the mythologizing of Horst Wessel.

We really should have a monument to the man who captured John Brown, Robert E Lee, one to the man who shot Michael Brown, Darren Wilson and one in Florida to George Zimmerman who shot Trayvon Martin.

Seems like this crap just wont end. Now I’m seeing reports that “thug” is the new “n” word, and the bikers who were shot are being discussed differently than the rioters in Baltimore (ya know the thugs)so it’s racist. Then all the illegal immigration, etc., etc. I’ve had it. I just cant see a graceful ending to this sh!t.
