You’d be surprised at the number of classic movies that were originally shot in Technicolor, as early as 1928!

Go on YouTube and search “Golddigers of Broadway 1928” or “Chinese Fantasy” (1929).

That is, if you’re interested in that kind of thing. I’m becoming rather a geek about it.

Color film back then qas like the first few CGI movies. They were prohibitively expensive and only premadonnas got to use it because they knew they would not gwt the money back.
