In four states (New York, California, Massachusetts, and Arizona), it is illegal to carry nunchucks.

Oddly, those same states have a total of 60,715 legally registered machine guns.

Machine guns are one of six categories of “Title II” weapon, which are regulated federally under the National Firearms Act.

4 weapons per 1000 people in Michigan.

Must be a lot of boating accidents, after all there is a lot of water.

illegal to carry nunchucks

Which is ridiculous because most people who picked up nunchucks would only hurt themselves with it.

“How many are used daily in crime sprees?”

From my extremely limited research, the number of NFA weapons used in crimes, going all the way back to 1934, appears to be 2. And I know one of those was a cop so that hardly even counts.

The moral of this story is an honest person can own a machine gun and never shoot anyone and a criminal will kill you with a baseball bat or a kitchen knife.

And, once you start letting the DEMOCRATS ban self defense tools, they will ban two sticks with a string tied between them.

Obviously we need to put pressure on these states to eliminate their obsolete and foolish nunchuck laws.

Most weopons legislation since at least US v. Miller has been driven by Hollywood fueled public ignorance.

I can expound on that a little: There have been four (4) known instances of Form 4'd (individual/corp/trust) tranferable firearms used in crimes. I'm a little fuzzy on these, and there are more, but most NFA abuses ARE DONE BY COPS!

1) Metro Dade Narc officer in the early 80s used a MAC .380 SMG and suppressor to kill a CI. He "borrowed/stole" the firearm from his friend whom was the Transferee.

2) In a domestic dispute in PA, a cop killed his wife with a short barreled shotgun (SBS) in which he was the transferee.

In the mid 90s, a SWAT officer used an HK MP5SDA2 that was form 10'd to his department to kill his wife, another cop (his wife's boyfriend), the IA detective, and his supervisor.

4) An officer used a suppressed .22 LR that was registered to him to kill his wife and lover when he came home from work early. He used his own .22 Ruger suppressed as he was a SWAT team leader who took his own pistol on patrol to take out street lights to darken areas before a SWAT raid.

5) A Destructive Device was used by an AR doctor to bomb someone on the medical board who suspended his license.

In Texas fully automatic weapons are legal but owning a knife with a hand guard is a felony. You can parade around town with a AR-15 strapped to your back and be completely legal but if your concealed handgun accidentally shows it’s a misdemeanor.

Weapons laws in general are poorly conceived and often completely illogical. It is such a universal condition in this country that it has to be by design. People really should question the purpose behind that.

"Which is ridiculous because most people who picked up nunchucks would only hurt themselves with it."

Even more ridiculous given that nunchucks were originally created by Asians for threshing rice. Vulnerable farmers learned to use them as weapons.

Years ago, in early 1960s, before the martial arts craze, I described this weapon to a co worker while sitting down at lunch. He laughed and thought it was the most stupid thing he had ever heard of.

Then came THE GREEN HORNET and more Bruce Lee movies and within a few years states were making the nunchuck illegal.

I also mentioned karate and other martial arts forms and everyone just laughed. They had never heard of such a silly thing, not even kick boxing.

In TULSA, a cop killed his (ex?)wife with a crossbow. Very quiet. The only noise was her screaming when she saw a short feathered shaft sticking out of her chest.

No registration needed.

As for title three weapons, remember at the funeral of a cop when his supervisor said he was tired of going to cop’s funerals who were killed with Uzis!
A quick check showed NO cops killed with full auto Uzis in the USA.

HEHEHEHEHE

I tend to bash myself in the back of the head with them! I have given them up when I found devoting the time to properly using a 1911 was much more productive!

Don’t worry about the nunchuks. Just get a handle, drill a hole, add a chain , and on the other end, place a two inch steel nut.

You now have a nice “Mace and chain” from medieval times.

Even the American Indians made a war club by dropping a rock in a flexible leather sack and fastening it to a wooden handle.

The old timers knew of a great weapon, they would place gold coins in a deep leather bag, grasp it by the neck, and if someone gave them trouble it suddenly became a black jack. Lead also works.

I need a machine gun.

Need, not want.

Because I don't have a machine gun, that's why.

Roll of quarters in a sock. Very effective.

For unavoidable close quarters confrontation, make fist with car keys in palm, sticking out between fingers. Apply forcefully to brachial plexus or eyes and repeat if necessary.
