Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev has revoked a decree that allowed delivery of NATO military equipment to Afghanistan through Russian territory.
According to the official document, signed by Medvedev and published on Monday, all previous decisions on NATO cargo transit to Afghanistan have now been revoked. This includes an act allowing delivery of military hardware and equipment via rail, motor vehicles, or through Russian airspace.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has been ordered to inform all the countries involved.

Amen. Let Europe put together some expeditionary forces while we lend some first rate support for a change, if it’s such a big deal.
It’s surprising what we “need” from Russia considering we’re part of a North Atlantic alliance with branch offices on the Black, Baltic, and Barents Sea. I think we’re losing an opportunity with a potentially stellar ally in the fight against Islamic terrorism and expansionism.
Don't worry, though, as long as the poppy harvest is good the additional cost of transporting men and equipment by other routes is a drop in the bucket.
