However, white millennials continue to vote for the GOP. 2012 - White Males 18-29 - Romney 55% - Obama 41%
2012 - White Females 18-29 - Romney 49% - Obama 48%
Looks like they are voting for HERESY to me!

That is an absolute irresponsible statement! THE LAST THING THE GOP WANTS TO SEE IS CRUZ WINNING!
My entire congressional delegation, all GOP, would love to see Cruz win, as would I. Lots of people in the GOP are pulling for Cruz. And regardless of whether some establishment types don’t like him, the fact is that without the party infrastructure Cruz wouldn’t have a chance at the presidency. That’s why he’s a GOP member. The GOP is a necessary condition for him to get where he wants to be. I get tired of the whining about the party. Rather than whine, how ‘bout let’s make the party bend to our will? A great way to do that in the next year or so is to outmaneuver/out-hustle the establishment and get a real conservative like Cruz nominated. Then let’s get him elected. Rather than whine, let’s figure out ways to win. Then we can ENJOY having the GOPe around...to savor their suffering.

There is a HUGE difference between “whining” and being “realistic.”
Apparently you have been living in a hole somewhere and missed the past elections where the candidate the PEOPLE wanted was rejected by the establishment Republicans and we lost the election to radical Democrats.
No, I think we have all been “sold down the river” by establishment Republicans. Clear evidence of that is who are the Republican leaders in the House and Senate? The mainstream Republican voter voted republican to remove them from power....not to give it back to them.....which the establishment did.
Cruz is an “upstart” that the establishment cannot tolerate and will crush in any way they can. He poses a danger to their hold on power and there is no room for those in the party who do not cave in to the whims of the lifers there.
They are doing everything they can to destroy this “pest” before he can gain enough power to actually change the direction of the party...and consequently, their secure and corrupt futures.
Cruz is a rebel, pure and true and they don’t like it!

Yes, I'm well aware of how conservatives have failed to assert control over the party. We make it easy for the establishment types to get over on us. We go into the primaries divided between a half dozen candidates for instance. The thing about politics -- as it actually exists in this imperfect world of ours -- is that it takes more than just being right to get your way. It also takes some hustle and some sharpness. We are not entitled to have the party do our will. We should expect to meet resistance because that's how life works, and we should have the toughness to be ready to work to overcome it.
