NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The Twin Peaks company has revoked the franchise agreement for its restaurant in Waco, Texas, the scene of a biker shootout that killed nine people this weekend.
"We will not tolerate the actions of this relatively new franchisee and are revoking their franchise immediately," said the Dallas-based company.
The company laid the blame on the managers of the Waco franchise who "chose to ignore the warnings and advice from both the police and our company, and did not uphold the high security standards we have in place to ensure everyone is safe at our restaurants."
The restaurant had already been shut down for a week following the fatal gang shootout on Sunday.
"The Twin Peaks restaurant where the fight occurred will be closed for the next seven days out of a concern about further violence," Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Monday.
In an interview with CNN affiliate KTVT over the weekend, Swanton criticized Twin Peaks for ignoring the police department's advice to keep biker gangs away from the restaurant.
"We feel like there may have been more that could have been done by a business to prevent this," said Swanton, noting that police had expected trouble with the bikers and had a marked SWAT truck standing by, in full view of the bikers, just before the fight broke out. "They absolutely have a right to refuse service to people that may be a harm to their patrons and employees. They didn't do that, and today is the ultimate aftermath of what their decision was."

Back in college, I lived off campus and my neighbor beside me was a 6’4” Hells Angels member. I didn’t know about it at first but the guy was damn friendly, and his old lady too. Plus the Rottweiler. When you see him, I’m sure you would cross the other side of the street.
The only time I knew he was HA was when the cops visited the apt and they tried talking to me. I told the cops the truth, he was friendly and almost never saw him as I go to school in the day and work at night.
In this case it was Mexicans vs. Whites with SS runes tattooed on their skin and sewn on their clothes.
Not surprising really. No matter how many leftist outlets scream mysoginy and sexism, the leftists can’t overcome the core issues involved. Namely their agenda being exposed and massively rejected by gamers.
So they do what all liberals do. Lie more.

It wouldn’t surprise me if this is what happened. I don’t know what it is about those Confederation of Clubs meetings but it sure gets the local police fired up. Does it around here too.
All the swat team guys needed to see is one gun and they would probably have mowed down as many of the bikers in sight with their fully automatic rifles as they could. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is in fact what happened. The police may have even been right with the law in this but it doesn’t make it right.
I’m familiar with these meetings but have never gone to one. I can say they primarily deal with legal problems bikers in that state are dealing with like harassment and helmet laws. Many times there is an attorney there to give advice on how to handle police stops. There isn’t any illegal stuff going on at the meetings. What private citizens do between themselves before and after those meetings has nothing to do with the meetings themselves. There is an opportunity for two clubs, while there, to straighten out a problem or misunderstanding which I’m sure happens all the time. Not usually with a gunfight though.
I have a feeling, although there is no way to know at this point, that the police in this instance are as much to blame as those guys who were arguing over a parking place. If true justice is done; there will be police officers going to jail too.
What really bothers me is a lot of innocent bikers have been charged with something they had nothing to do with. This was between two clubs (Bandidos) with one (Cossacks) absorbing a smaller one (Scimitars). The rest should be released immediately. It sounds childish and petty to outsiders but this is the world to them.
I know this isn’t going to be a popular thing to say here but after reading and gathering as much info as I can so far; that’s pretty much what it looks like happened.
For anyone who is quick to judge these bikers; just remember they are private citizens who, for the most part, just want to be left alone to live their life their way without hurting anyone. Not all of course; but most. That’s why one percenter’s are just one percent of the biker population. The other 99% are just as normal as anyone here.
If all the dead were killed by the cops how are they being charged with murder?
If all the dead were killed by the cops how are they being charged with murder?
So if a group of homosexual activists show up and brawl, could the restaurant refuse them service?
My thinking is that you shouldn't necessarily believe something just because someone says so, but this claim is of such a serious nature that people need to be aware of it. I would never have considered this possibility had someone not made this claim.
I think when the coroner's report comes out, we'll find out what caliber of weapons were used, and this will either confirm this claim or put it to rest.
Refuse service to biker thugs? What could possibly go wrong?
The D.A. says he is going to seize everyone's' bikes! I sense greed on the part of law enforcement and the D.A.
You are hilarious! I've never been to a Twin Peaks establishment, and never will, but it appears hardly enough "dress" there on the part of its servers to even establish a "dress code."
And believe me, if there's not enough fabric there for the servers, kinda hard to create one for the customers!
Well not only that, but consider the numerous times these gangs have shown up in the past minus any incidents.
That's what's so revisionistically twisted about Twin Peaks' corporate offices:
Announcement of the franchise revocation came Monday after it was learned the Waco location failed to comply with police requests not to serve bikers at the event, according to the statement:
We are in the people business and the safety of the employees and guests in our restaurants is priority one. Unfortunately the management team of the franchised restaurant in Waco chose to ignore the warnings and advice from both the police and our company, and did not uphold the high security standards we have in place to ensure everyone is safe at our restaurants. We will not tolerate the actions of this relatively new franchisee and are immediately revoking their franchise agreement. Our sympathies continue to be with the families of those who died and are very thankful no employees, GUESTS, police officers or bystanders were hurt or injured."

Hmmm...nice revisionism on the part of Twin Peaks: These biker gangs were "guests" (paying customers) every time they've frequented there in the past...so suddenly, they are less than "guests?"
But, hey, Twin Peaks is in the cess-press-flesh biz so what'd ya 'xpect from their PR people?
But to reinforce the point: Where's the outcry from the liberals & the homosexual community on the fact that the Waco PD was repeatedly requesting that Twin Peaks not serve these biker gangs?
You mean a hue & cry goes across the nation when two homosexual men can't get a Christian-owned bakery to openly sanction their unnatural relationship? But when an entire group of men are targeted for commercial exclusion based upon the type of jacket they where, that's to be lauded & commended by the liberals & homosexual activists & sympathizers?
Well there was this guy, an engineer employed by Austin’s Public Works department. His salary is betweeen $99k and $100k per year: http://www.kcentv.com/story/29104527/city-of-austin-employee-arrested-in-waco-biker-gang-shooting
Weird thing is that they are saying that he bonded out along with 2 others by mistake at a low amount, and now there are warrants out for their arrest. http://www.newsweek.com/three-waco-texas-shooting-biker-gang-members-accidentally-released-jail-333554
“What sort of rivalries, or differences, do these biker gangs have that would lead to a shootout”
Yeah, that is a nice touch.
Ugh.
Thanks for the links. Now we’re beginning to get some analysis and explanation from the media about the rivalries and the individual gangs.
