I've had that thought, too. If you were a Dem, and you wanted to have control of the government for 2 or the next three terms, you'd be better off dumping a bunch of crap in the lap of a GOP administration, then campaigning in 2020 by saying, "Look, things are terrible."
If instead you manage to win in 2016 as a Dem, you're likely to lose the next two terms, because you won't be able to keep all of the Obama stinkbombs from blowing up.
Only problem with that scenario is Hillary, who doesn't strike me as willing to sacrifice her ego for the greater leftist "good."
