Think about other famous people. How much do you know about their children? Most likely not much. Unless they achieved something on their own. Such as Nancy Sinatra just to use an example off the top of my head. When she scored that number 1 hit, she had every right to get out there and swagger and get herself in the tabloids.
That daughter of Cher, Chaz, or whatever name that he/she goes by these days - not so much. And what a mess she made out of his life. She's only famous for being a freak.
Hopefully that's not the road the Palin girls are going down.
The one and only thing I give Obama credit for is that he has the sense to keep his daughters out of the spotlight. I don't even know what their names are. And that's a good thing.
Couldn't agree more.
The "Palin girls"? I missed where they are all out there being celebrities, I am aware of Bristol, who has been a very public pro-life and abstinence spokeswoman, with a New York Times best selling book, and a successful appearance on Dances with the Stars and who writes a conservative blog and had a TV series.
But with the Palin girls, there is no achievement to go with the fame.

Uh, what?!?
Bristol placed 3rd on Dancing with the Stars.
(no, I’m not being serious, I had to google that factoid, and let’s face it, to your point, her last name got her that gig).
I give Track, her older son, credit for keeping himself out of the limelight. He hasn’t moved to cash in on it a bit.
But then again, as you point out, the majority of pols’ and other famous people’s children refrain from seeking the reflected glory in the celebrity family business.
