I’ve worked salaried plenty. To hell with it! Get paid to work 8:00 to 5:00 and work 7:00 to 6 or 7 or sometimes later everyday. You can keep it.

This is actually what drove me, back around 1995, to IT contracting. I worked an extra 360+ hours on an IT project and when the project successfully completed they threw me a $250 bone.

I went to contracting hourly and within six years my income LITERALLY tripled.
