Judge Shaaban el-Shami was the one who gave the death sentence. I’m sure he has top level security which is why other judges were attacked.
Just last June the Judge that sentenced Saddam Hussein to death was captured and executed by ISIS so Shaaban el-Shami knows he is a target.
