Actually it wasn’t in the inner city..Briarwood is just a few blocks up Queens Blvd. from Forest Hills, a pretty affluent area.

Briarwood Queens has never been inner city. In fact most of the old inner city neighborhoods have become gentrified.

That said, it seems like crime in all areas of DeBlasio's NYC is starting to increase.

I think this had to be a very deliberate, personal thing. A grudge or a vendetta.
