Poland's dream wish has always been to have US bases in Poland..... the missile defense system by Bush, which Obama scrubbed in 2009, was intended to protect against future missiles ‘from Iran’.

Aside from that... Poland wants the revenues that will ensue by having bases there.....in Germany whole survive because of revenues generated from US bases.
