Are only those killed in battle buried there or are Confederate veterans also interned there?

Over in Kingston, GA and here in Marietta, GA the Confederate cemetery has only the Confederate soldiers that died in battle.

My GGF is buried in our family's ancestral church cemetery that was started in 1836. Many others from the Twenty-Ninth Alabama Infantry Regiment are also buried there. My brother pointed out to me this afternoon that the gravestone of my GGF's younger brother Ira indicates he died in 1864 (died in the battle of Atlanta) so even though he died in the war, his body came home to Alabama be buried. My GGF does have an official US government marker placed there only a few years ago to recognize his CSA veteran status. My GGGF on my Mother's side of the family was also in the 29th Ala. He was captured at the battle of Kennesaw Mountain which is only a few miles from my home and imprisoned at Camp Douglas, Ill. until the end of the War.

As you seem to vehemently resent the very existence of Southern heritage, why do you jump on these posts just to stress so over something that does not affect your life in the least?

What I resent is the veneration of a treasonous flag. Had the South prevailed we would be two different nations, not The United States of America so that tells me for people such as yourself you’re not an person who views this great nation as you claim to and for your information bub my ancestor served in The Union Army so where do you get off telling me this doesn’t concern me?
