Somebody please explain to me how the Vatican can sign a treaty with a place that does not exist? At least it seems to not exist. I have consulted several world maps and several maps specific to the Middle East. I can’t find the “State of Palestine” on any of them.

The closest I can come is an area of Israel supposedly claimed by the “Palestinians.” This is doubly confusing. If there is no country of Palestine, how can there be people claiming to be Palestinians?

Hi guy. I hope you are doing well.

Somebody please explain to me how the Vatican can sign a treaty with a place that does not exist?

The Vatican is a sovereign nation. The Pope could sign a treaty with Mars, or any entity, but the treaty is binding on no one outside the Vatican.
