I’m very proud to say my son and his friends can be counted among them. There are some real rugged bruisers among them, fearless, not afraid of challenges. Yet polite and courteous to a fault.

There are American men who are manly men, but you truly have to find them.
You sure as hell won't find us standing in line at a Starbucks waiting to order a venti cafe fru fru caramel mocha. Even worse, waiting in the drive-up wasting gas in the pickup. You'll find us in the woods drinking from a metal cup that came from the metal coffee pot sitting over the fire. And the damn coffee is black and bitter, just like urban ferals.

I know; here in NJ we still have mountain men in the northwest and old salts along the shore. In my area (northeastern NJ) we’ve become too “civilized”....
