That’s the older son. Jokhar (Dudaev) is another lower caliber butcher though.
A ‘Butcher of Afghanistan’ he was a general in strategic air command and an architect of Soviet-Afghan version of Linebacker II op which was about to bomb A-stan to stone age with hundreds of strategic heavy bombers upon withdrawal to leave only ruins for Taleban.
Surprisingly, this little fact of biography haven’t stopped Jokhar from becoming a prominent Islamist a couple years later, who won a presidency in Chechnya, declared Sharia, killed of tens thousands of Christians and started a war on federal government.
The Wikipedia documents his happy ending thus:
"Chechen leader Dzhokar Dudayev was assassinated, reportedly thanks to telephone homing equipment supplied to Moscow by the US National Security Agency"-Eric Margolis.[15][16] Dudaev was killed on 21 April 1996, by two laser-guided missiles when he was using a satellite phone, after his location was detected by a Russian reconnaissance aircraft, which intercepted his phone call.[17] At the time Dudaev was reportedly talking to a liberal deputy of the Duma in Moscow, supposedly Konstantin Borovoy.[18] Additional aircraft were dispatched (a Su-24MR and a Su-25) to locate Dudaev and fire a guided missile. Exact details of this operation were never released by the Russian government. Russian reconnaissance planes in the area had been monitoring satellite communications for quite some time trying to match Dudaev's voice signature to the existing samples of his speech. It was claimed Dudaev was killed by a combination of a rocket attack and a booby trap. He was 52 years old.[19]
