North of OP. A little northwest of NAS Jax. Not the greatest neighborhood but not in Jacksonville's "ceasefire zone" either.
The area of Jacksonville north of Beaver Street, east of Edgewood Avenue, south of Moncrief Road and west of Interstate 95 is known as the "ceasefire zone" aka "no-go" for white people. It's where most (but not all) of violent black crimes takes place. According to the article, this bus was well outside this area.
