On Wednesday afternoon, just as she sat down to watch TV and eat a corn dog, Ivy Ziedrichs phone rang. It was her sister in Montana.
I am so proud of you, her sister said, for yelling at a politician.
It was the first inkling that Ms. Ziedrich, a 19-year-old college student with a passion for the debate team and the finer points of Middle Eastern policy, had gone viral.
Her confrontation with Jeb Bush, in which she told the former Florida governor a few hours earlier, Your brother created ISIS, was suddenly everywhere online, casting an unwelcome hue on President George W. Bushs legacy from the war in Iraq.
My sister started freaking out, Ms. Ziedrich recalled.
In an interview, Ms. Ziedrich described a dizzying 24 hours of social media frenzy, her upbringing in a conservative Republican family, and the circumstances that prompted her to approach Jeb Bush, who was in Reno for a town hall-style meeting on Wednesday.
She had shown up with a few college friends uncertain of whether she wanted to ask anything at all. But as Mr. Bush spoke about the rise of the Islamic State, and put blame on President Obama for removing troops from Iraq, Ms. Ziedrich found herself becoming furious. ISIS, she believed, was the product of George W. Bushs bungled war in Iraq.
A Bush was trying to blame ISIS on Obamas foreign policy it was hilarious, said Ms. Ziedrich, who attends the University of Nevada. It was like somebody crashing their car and blaming the passenger.
She acknowledged she was deeply nervous about walking up to him after the meeting and asking her question. I get nervous any time I talk to an authority figure he wants to be president of the United States, she said

Her fifteen minutes of fame.
If nothing else, you would think someone who might be running for the office would have the Intelligence to anticipate a question which is at the root of his Brother's unpopularity among the left. (Who control the media.)
Obviously Jeb isn't that smart.
Shut up Jeb! You are an idiot and you need to go away now.
Yup, as you said just like Flake.
I’m betting that, like Flake, Ivy was well prepped if not groomed for this.
national level politicians spend 98% of their time courting rich donors and peddling influence with backroom deals. This dealing with the public thing isn’t on their radar most of the time. They just say what aides tell them to say.
Jeb advisors dumber than a bag of rocks.
Give them a pile and they will step in it EVerytime.
Get the hook somebody PLEASE !
This young woman is an idiot.
This is like someone crashing their car, and then blaming the previous owner.
Ye shall know them by their “heroes.”
I suspect that if the left tries to make a “hero” out of this poorly educated little dork, it will not work out well for them.
So will Ivy be in any way responsible for what Montana does in life?
Of course, the fact that this bonehead is completely wrong is beside the point as the media makes her out to be their new heroine.
1. We didn't go in with an exit strategy - many, many folks, including right here on FR, knew full well and stated such back at the very beginning that there would be ominous factions that arose to take Saddam's place. This has bore out as we predicted.
2. We didn't (aren't) fighting to win. To be fair, we haven't fought to win since WWII, which is why we have, technically, "lost" these last few actions, from Korea forward.
So, while Jeb is an idiot and this girl even more so, the fact is there is some truth in the statement.
Well I'm certainly not happy with that state of affairs, and I doubt anyone here on Free Republic is either.
Not guilty. She’s too attractive to stay a democrat for long.
The truth is Muhammad created ISIS (and Obama, along with Iraq’s moronic voters, merely stood aside and let it happen in Iraq) but no pol can say that in public.
I am not in Bush’s political corner but things like this need be nipped in the bud. When confronted with one of these demodummys, slap them down, hard. He should have pointed out she was probably 5 when this happened so she probably got her inferior ideas from some leftist professor. He could then have followed it up with a slap at Hitlery who voted for the war and inquired if she knew that or was just omitting it.
Stay outta da Bushes...and the Ivy!

...
College students. They know everything.
Example of biased media. Joe the Plumber was vilified for asking Obama a question.
I really despise the msm
