“This is the stupidest thread Ive ever seen on this site, I cant believe its still even active.”
Man, you are so right! The “moron element” has run this thread to nearly 400 posts!
Personally, I’d like to know what the speed profile was normally for this train after leaving it’s last stop. Was it supposed to be going over 100 mph anywhere prior to the curve where it derailed? Amtrak generally can’t go that fast anywhere. I know I’ve taken it from Oakland to Los Angeles and you can walk to LA faster than Amtrak gets you there (11.5 hours). It’s obvious that he knows he’s in deep $hit, hence the lawyer, but it’s most likely his speeding didn’t have anything to do with being gay. Now that statement will probably garner another 100 posts!
The Acela Express trains travel up to 150 miles per hour on a short stretch in New England, and the top speed between New York and Washington is 135 miles an hour. The Northeast Regional trains (like Train 188) operate at up to 125 mph. It's quicker and easier than driving.
The Northeast Corridor track is pretty straight north of that curve until the train reaches Newark.
A thousand times this...this thread is embarrassing.

Are you aware that homosexual males have a mental disease? Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz comes to mind. Another mentally diseased homosexual that recently killed more than a 00 people.
