I’m going to say this as gently as I can.

My father grew up in Nazi Germany. His entire family was there. My grandfather was in the German army. He was part of the occupying force in France. My father lived under communist rule from the ages of 10-16 after the Russians took over.

Yes, I know a bit about the Nazis.

If you’re trying to make the Nazis into a bunch of limp wristed pansies who celebrated homosexuality... you’re REALLY going to look silly. But of course, I’ve noticed on this thread there’s no fear of looking silly.

Cut the holier than thou stuff. My Mom grew up in Nazi Germany, too, my grandfather was drafted to fight for the Nazis and served time in a Russian labor camp (and escaped). Many of my uncles died. I am not trying to make Germans out to be pansy homosexuals. But the fact remains that, until Hitler reluctantly signed Rohm’s death warrant (even offering him a suicide alternative), Hitler was extremely sympathetic to their presence.

Interesting, but like all anecdotal evidence, hardly persuasive.

You are really misunderstanding the homosexuality issue regarding the Nazis. Many freepers are trying to tell you so. Kindly read the links they provided. Regardless of what you think your relatives in Germany perceived, there are well-established links between HYPERmasculinity and homosexuality, such as the Japanese samurai warriors. No one is saying the brownshirts were effeminate. Just the opposite. They were angry and cruel. And homosexual.
