In college I was getting a pre-med education.

You know some sciency type of stuff.

I then went to medical school, then residency.

So when I actually was in charge of an ICU, I had a DECADE of training under my belt.

I didn't get there by being a member of some "special snowflake", we gotta hire this guy because he fits our demographic quotas program.

If this guy turns out to have somehow been passed over more qualified candidates for promotion simply because of the orfice he enjoys poking, then yeah, I DO have a problem with him being a cashier at Target in college.

Not everyone who works on a train gets to be the engineer.

You have zero idea what this guys qualifications are. None. Maybe he’s qualified, maybe he isn’t but you have no idea.

You were “getting a pre-med education”. Good for you. But you didn’t answer the question. What was the summer job you had? Or the night job. Flipping burgers maybe? I did, and there’s no shame in it, and it has zero bearing on what you or I do now.

You seem educated. Don’t embarrass yourself by jumping to conclusions when you know nothing about the facts.
