In Medellin v. Texas, 51 Mexican nationals tried to overturn their conviction on rape and murder. They argued that Texas had violated the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations by failing to notify the convicted nationals of their opportunity to receive legal aid from the Mexican consulate.They based their case on a decision of the International Court of Justice.
The GWBush Administration AGREED and SUPPORTED the Mexicans.
Before the Supreme Court, Sen. Cruz argued the case on behalf of Texas. Cruz argued that foreign treaties, courts and laws did not supersede the US Constitution. He won 6-3.
I understand you feel strongly about this trade issue. But Sen. Cruz is a true patriot-— find your traitors elsewhere.
