It’s tempting in the face of the madding hordes to want to bend the scriptures to do what you want to do. As it is, all the referenced scripture does is to refer to a legacy provision in Mosaic law. The Mosaic law must be taken as unitary... all or nothing. No cherry picking allowed. It also cracks down on several other forms of adultery with similar provisions. Not to mention Sabbath breaking (and if the Mosaic law is unitary, you cannot shake off a liberal Sabbath by adopting Mosaic law, though I know you have tried). I thought we respected God enough not to try that kind of stunt. Guess not!
We are not left with anarchy without the Mosaic law applying. We are left with the older Noahide law (everyone who is Noah’s descendant meaning all of us). Which forbade adultery, that includes of course sodomy. But under a different penalty scheme, which imposed bloodshed for bloodshed but not for other wrongs.
If you want God’s power you must first not play games with His scriptures. That’s all there is to it.
