The speed limit on that curve is for 50 mph. That train on that video was doing well in excess of that speed.

The crash occurred at 9:23 PM. That train should have left 30th street station at 9:09 PM and then would have departed Trenton at 9:37 PM.

Not sure if that means it was running late, which might be cause for a little speeding en route.

The Timetable speed is 110 mph north of the reverse curve (the train derail at the southernmost curve). Word on the street in Philly is that the train was doing 108 when it hit the 50 mph curve.
