A crazy PETA type confronted my husband during cold weather and screamed at him that she was calling 911 because one of our dogs was in the car with the windows open.

Now see, no big deal here. If it's 40 degrees out, it's probably around 60 or so with windows up in the car. Clearly not a threat to the dog. On the other hand, if it's 80 out, it can reach up to 100 in a car with windows up. That is just wrong.
