Only 1 Republican running for president scored a 100% conservative rating (Ted Cruz)

~snip~

On a 100-point ratings system for their conservative voting records, there are essentially no Democrats in House or Senate who breeched the 40th percentile. Over 30 Democrats had a score of 0 percent this year, including Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia.

“We can only conclude that the former Democratic National Committee Chairman plans to serve one-term representing the Commonwealth of Virginia before he returns to lead the fringe portion of the liberal activist base,” Mr. Schlapp observes.

A slim few Republicans were rated between 40 and 49 percent on the scale, with the majority of them scoring 60 percent and above. Sixteen earned a 100 percent rating this year, including Sen. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz and Rep. Ron De Santis.

Precedent Obama has changed the meaning of natural born citizen whether we like it or not.

The silver lining is Ted Cruz.

I will vote for Cruz and only Cruz. I’ve looked at the other candidates. They’ve been weighed, measured and come up wanting. If Cruz is not the nominee, I’ll write him in. I’m done with compromise.

“I think we need to compromise on wherever Ted was born and focus on the issues/GOPE Speak”

In every election for the last half century people have been telling me how it is so utterly necessary to “compromise” on fundamental principles to elect the lesser of two weevils — make that evils. If you look back over that half century you can see making all of those “compromises” ultimately failed to preserve the Constitutional freedoms and powers we were bequeathed by the Founding Fathers.

It is also remarkable to see how we are repeatedly being told our available selection of candidates is somehow always limited to candidates who are first and second generation foreign citizens or unindicted criminals, when the United States has a population of over 300 million people among who can be found tens of millions of people who are adults who have no foreign citizenship themselves or among their parents and are not unindicted criminals. If we were to follow the origins and characteristics of many or most of these candidates, anyone could be forgiven for drawing the conclusion that U.S. Citizens somehow considered their true native sons and daughters having no hint or possibility of foreign bias were somehow considered to be unfit to govern themselves and each other. It is more than passing strange that people who call themselves conservatives somehow never get around to acknowledging U.S. citizens having no foreign relationship or interest are never allowed to be offered as a candidate for President, unless he or she is a crook.

The flip side of the coin would be to insist for the next fifty years that any and every candidate has to have no foreign citizenship themselves, no foreign citizenship among the parents, no foreign interests to bias the candidate, and no background as another dishonest and unindicted criminal political candidate; whether or not it could be argued the candidate was eligible under the Constitution.

If Constitutional scholars and lawyers say he is eligible, then those who disagree need to challenge his elibility in court. Put up or shut up!

Having said that, those who want to argue probably wouldn’t take a ruling by the Supreme Court either.

Doesn’t matter if he’s 100% or where he was born really. Anyone that went out and voted for Romney or Mitch or Jonbon or any other RINO that have long records screwing America, can most assuredly cast their vote for a man that is 100% behind America as it was intended.

I think it’s funny that the latest round of “I like Cruz but...” and “Thats it! Ted Cruz just lost my vote!” idiocy is coming from people that marched their little arses into a booth and pulled the lever for an abortion backing gay marriage supporting, military hating liberal and fight to defend that stupidity to this day.

“Precedent Obama has changed the meaning of natural born citizen whether we like it or not.”

One of the first things you teach a child is that they have to give their own permission to submit to abuse and bullying without a fight. Obama has not amended the Constitution, so the Constitution is still there to defended against all enemies foreign and domestic who care enough to do so. All the rest are Sunshine Soldiers.

“The silver lining is Ted Cruz.”

Fidel Castro pretended to be a pro-democracy freedom fighter to secure CIA support, and he pretended to be a man of the people among the proletariat and the Communist Party. In reality, Fidel Castro proved to be just another murderous criminal who made a mockery of democratic principles of freedom and Communist principles as well. The father of Ted Cruz helped Fidel Cruz to commit those crimes, even after he fled to Texas. How can you possibly know whether or not the candidate is emulating the kinds of deceptive methods used by Fidel Castro, Adolf Hitler, or any of the other many corrupt political leaders who will say and do anything necessary to gain power and then act in opposition to what was promised before gaining power? Don’t you for one moment suppose it was possible the Founding Fathers were trying to give U.S. Citizens a tool which could be used to avoid such eventualities by the use of good judgment?

Since no one in our political or judicial institutions stood up for the original meaning there is no need to amend the Constitution.

Precedent has been set.

You and I cannot remove the usurper and no one else is interested.

“You and I cannot remove the usurper and no one else is interested.”

As grandfather used to say, “Quitters never prosper.”

As grandmother used to say, “Can’t NEVER did.”

As the U.S. Marines say, “Improvise, adapt, and overcome.”

So you're equating Ted Cruz with Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler?

“If Constitutional scholars and lawyers say he is eligible, then those who disagree need to challenge his elibility in court. Put up or shut up!”

Oh yeah, Constitutional lawyers like Barack Hussein Obama. Such claims are simply in denial that few Constitutional experts and lawyers who actually investigate the issue in detail would agree the candidate is eligible.

“Having said that, those who want to argue probably wouldn’t take a ruling by the Supreme Court either.”

Yeah, like all of those deluded people who refuse to “take a ruling by the Supreme Court” authorizing late term abortions or perpetuating slavery. Got it.

So why don’t some of these high minded people who are so concerned about whether Cruz meets the Constitutional requirements get off their butts and file a case already????

Who are these geniuses that have investigated the issue? If it’s such a slam dunk issue with them, why are they silent? Why aren’t they ACTING?

Hardly 100% given those conservatives who do not consider a native born Canadian citizen as being eligible for the Office of the President.
******************************************************************************************************
And hardly 100% given the low-information “conservative” folks who dwell amongst us.

“So you’re equating Ted Cruz with Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler?”

No, of course not. I’m simply illustrating how few of you in this forum are willing to even think about the potential consequences of your actions, no matter how unlikely you want to think such an event could unfold. One of the complaints the rest of the world had against Germany and the German people was how they could possibly have allowed Adolf Hitler to gain power and stay in power to the ruination of Germany and the needless deaths of tens of millions of people. Germany had a substantial political party known as the Christian Democrats. These Christian Democrats were supposed to represent the more moral part of German Society. Hitler succeeded in capturing the support of the Christian Democrats by polarizing the German electorate into believing their were only two possible choices, either the NZIs or the Communists. The Christian Democrats were subjugated to the will of the NAZIs by their own fear of the Communists. The powers that be, New World Order or whatever, is trying to repeat the same formula in the United States just as they attempted to do in the 1930s and 1940s. They use their control of the electoral system and fraud to present the voter with choices that exclude any honest candidates and use fear of the opposition to gain unquestioning support. Perhaps it is time to just say no to our present day political leadership who is trying to herd the electorate like sheep and cattle to vote only for the candidates they presented just as was done in Germany in 1933.

Also, assume Ted Cruz is perfectly honest and loyal to the American conservative cause and actually an eligible candidate, and then demonstrate how you can keep him from gaining political support like Fidel Castro did through deception in the event our judgment of Ted Cruz proved to be horribly wrong. After all, if Jimmy Carter, John Kerry, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Chief Justice Roberts, and John Boehner can betray us, why not someone who is the foreign born son of a supporter of Fidel Castro?
