Most teens I’ve been around aren’t going to be that attentive in an art museum. I’m doubtful about taking a large crew who haven’t been “prepped” to any kind of museum. If the teens are instructed about what they are about to see and broken up into groups of no more than a half dozen with a teacher or assistant who knows about the subject and can keep order, the kids will both be more civil and actually get something out of the trip.

Of course there are some, like Michelle, who are better off not going at all.

My mind was running the same way. You need skills to introduce culture to the culturally deprived. Small groups is a great idea. Prepping in the classroom is essential. Large museums can be overwhelming, to anyone.

Maybe some prep in decorum as well.
