“Californicators”?
What about the rest of us
Californians?
So, is it racis’ to “steal” the aqua that would have gone to meh-eek-O? :>}
Thanks for the information. Off the Colorado river out of Nevada at the border between the states south of Hoover(my ‘thereabouts’). Weak though it is, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! :0)
Same here in North Texas. We have been in a multi-year drought. This spring, we have received an abundance of rain. Even with the severe weather that has accompanied the rain, we are are thankful for each and every drop. The trees are greener than they have been in years and lake levels are higher than they have been in years.
I am in agreement with several posters, to heck with that pesky minnow. The farmland and people’s livelihoods are much more important than a stupid fish.
I”ve seen picture of what ends up in Mexico as the Colorado River outfall to the Pacific. I remember bigger water flows in my earlier AF days in Okinawa where the Benjo ditches had more water.
I recall some tv movie about an LA fire. One woman was chucking her silverware into the pool. I wonder how chlorine affects silver..., but not to worry, the FD showed up right after to drop a hose into it to suck it dry fighting the inferno.
You had the right river, and the right project. They were built together.
Well, unless you are screwing California....I guess that term doesn't apply.
How's that second state secession deal going?
Uhh, make that 200. Apparently my finger stuttered.
thackney thanks for your comments. Most posts appearing are not productive and negative. California is in a very serious drought condition. Some areas do not have have water even for basic needs. Their is a way to get water for emergency drought areas....Water by Rail
Water by Rail (WBR) is not going to solve all of Ca’s drought conditions, but it could bring emergency relief to some of CA’s hardest hit drought areas. Water can be moved in DOT 111 rail cars from water sources located in Oregon.
Each rail car is capable of transporting up to 32,000 gal of water and 100 cars 3,2 million gallons or roughly 10 cubic acre feet of water.
Water by rail is an emergency/relief-based operation capable of only limited impact. WBR it’s nothing new. In the past, this method has been used to combat drought situations in Australia, Israel, India, and even Illinois.
What must be done? Contact your local governmental officials, set up meetings.
How about a “WATER BULLET TRAIN FOR CALIFORNIA!” Got that Governor!
If they were willing to spend that kind of money per gallon, water would not be a problem.
Show me the records.
I and a few hundred locals would scavenge Cedar Creek Lake during droughts and find arrowheads and spearpoints and jewelry and whatnot.
no doubt a wise dreamer will put his/her taxpayer funded education to work on this and come up with an easy solution.
What is the large white structure in the bottom of the photo? It looks like some kind of tank but it’s not very tall and I don’t see any fence around it.
Joe Bastardi called it right on last years El Nino. This year he says California will have a decent El Nino with normal or above normal rainfall. However the years after that will be drought laden. So California needs to build those desalinization plants right away.
Mainiacs.
Who said anything about all the people? That term should be self-explanatory.
If the shoe doesn't fit you...agree with me,
“Stupid liberals with their heads in the clouds...”
Wrong. Where their heads are all they can see is their next turd.
