I feel exactly the same about blacks whose primary identity is as black as I do about whites whose primary identity is as white. In a white, almost everyone condemns the Klan-like identity groups. In blacks, the racial identity philosophy is still, sadly, celebrated. I hope they will grow up soon and agree to judge others by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
I don’t care how much melanin someone has. I want their race to be invisible so they can interact as individuals. If someone wants to be treated as black, as Asian, or as Hispanic, I will treat them as what they really are, meaning the same way I treat members of the Aryan Nation.
Michell grew up near the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, a wonderful place for a child to learn and get ideas. I’m sure she would have been welcomed there, THere were no museums or concert halls in her neighborhood that would have turned her away. It was not dangerous for children then. Lots of opportunities for dhildren who wanted to learn in that neighborhood at that time.
